 On Sunday, Arinda passed away at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, where he had been brought to the Intensive Care Unit on Friday.

Former General Duties Minister Mary Karooro Okurut announced Arinda’s death. She added that Arinda, who served in the 10th legislature, became ill during the Christmas season.

He became ill and was sent to the Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Arinda, she says, was a person who crossed boundaries and was incredibly hardworking, determined, and principled.

Arinda worked as a researcher at Makerere University before joining the Bushenyi District Council as a clerk.

He went on to become Ruhinda County’s Assistant Chief Administrative Officer in Charge. He was also appointed Kashenshero Town Clerk, after which he left the public sector to pursue a career in politics.

In 2016, Arinda won a seat in parliament by defeating Forum For Democratic Change (FDC) leader Oddo Tayebwa. He, on the other hand, lost the 2020 NRM party primaries and stepped down from politics.
