Prices for Johannesburg Zoo

The Johannesburg Zoo is a well-known attraction that can be found in the neighborhood of Saxonwold, which is situated within the metropolitan area of Johannesburg.

People from all over South Africa come to the zoo to see animals acting in a natural way in one of the enclosures, which is thought to be one of the most natural places in the country.

Since January 2013, Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo (JCPZ) have been one company. It is registered as a non-profit company under the South African Companies Act, No. 71 of 2008, as amended. The merger happened because the City of Johannesburg did an institutional review.

The zoo is about 4 kilometers from the city center and a 25-minute drive from the O.R. Tambo International Airport. This video may persuade you to pay a visit to the Jozi Zoo after all.

The History of Johannesburg Zoo

Early in 1904, the Town Council of Johannesburg approved 200 acres of property given by H. Eckstein & Co as a permanent recreational area. This site was to be named “Hermann Eckstein Park” in his honor. Jan Smuts Avenue separates Zoo Lake and Johannesburg Zoo.
